Shared Infrastructure

An individual company usually has limited ability to increase the utilization of infrastructure assets (facilities, networking, computer equipment, support staff, and management) beyond its own purposes. Outsourcing enables multiple companies to split the infrastructure costs with other companies and by increasing the overall utilization of these assets lower their costs.
