development of Navi Mumbai.
Warehousing-cum Steel Market Complex:In pursuance of the policy of decentralization
of commercial and business activities in the Mumbai
Metropolitan Region, CIDCO has taken up development of a major
warehousing - cum steel market complex at Kalamboli node which
is situated between Taloja and Panvel Station and at the
junction of Sion-Panvel Express Highway. Several business
houses have purchased plots for construction of large
warehouses and manufacturing plants.
Kalamboli Industrial Complex: The
Kalamboli Residential node has been executed on 238 h.a. of
land adjoining the warehousing cum steel market complex with a
population of one lac residents. The Township is planned with
due regards to the creative concepts in city planning, where
adequate open spaces are provided for the residences, with a
well designed network for roads and simultaneous development
of social infrastructure like schools, medical facilities,
shopping centers, markets, parks, playgrounds, community and
recreational centers within walking distance of the
residential complex. Most, of the residential complexes have
been occupied by the people working in the iron & steel
market
and the nearby MIDC industrial belt of Taloja & Panvel.
